Spain Retreat FAQ
Q: Will there be more retreats after Spain?
The Academy is moving fast, evolving in ways that even Kasia can't predict. Will there be more retreats? Will the next adventure take place on an island? In a rocket ship? Who knows!
What we do know is that Spain is next, and this moment represents an important new frontier in Kasia’s life's work.
If this is your moment, come now. If it's not, don't. But don't assume the same opportunity will come around again.
Q: What is the registration deadline?
The deadline to register is Sunday, November 1, at 11:59 p.m.
The Academy wants time to speak with every woman before she arrives. This isn't simply about filling rooms. It's about bringing together a group of women who will be living together, eating together, and making magic together.
Q: Can I request an extension on the registration deadline?
Yes. If you have a legitimate reason for needing more time, write to the Academy. Every woman's circumstances matter, and the team wants to understand where each person is coming from. Just let us know what you need, and we'll see what's possible.
Q: What can we expect to experience at the Spain retreat?
Imagine stepping into a completely alternate world, with physical spaces designed for different kinds of experiences, and a group of women who have full permission to explore who they are and who they might become.
So much of what we call our personality is actually shaped by the circumstances around us, the roles we've learned to play, and the expectations of the world. But what happens when we get to try on something else?
The temptress. The dictator. The lazy bitch. The parts of ourselves that rarely get permission to come out and play.
Through persona work, embodied experimentation, and the experience of being together in a group, women get to discover what's actually true for them. How do they carry power? How shakeable or unshakable are they? How much can they surrender? Where do they abandon themselves, and what does it take to return?
The Spain retreat takes the work the Academy has been doing for years and makes it multidimensional. It's not just about learning something new. It's about having an experience that reveals something you couldn't have known about yourself any other way.
Q: How will the Spain retreat differ from the Austin retreat?
It's going to be different, and that's the exciting part.
The retreats are evolving. That doesn't mean version 2.0 is better than version 1.0. Each one is its own experiment, with its own energy and possibilities.
In Austin, everyone was focused in one space, which created an incredible concentration of power. Spain has more terrain, more physical spaces, and more opportunities to explore what happens when women live, breathe, sleep, and play together inside a world created for this work.
The Academy is returning to its roots in the body, theater, and experimentation, but with everything Kasia has learned over years of teaching.
Q: How many women can attend the retreat?
The second Spain retreat is limited to just 18 women.
This is a small group by design. These are women who will be living together, eating together, and making magic together. Every single person matters.
The Academy wants everyone arriving in the same headspace, aware of the details, and ready to enter the experience together. The intention isn't simply to assemble a group, but to weave together an adventure that suits the particular women who will be there.
Q: Is the retreat focused on healing or personal transformation?
These retreats aren't being created for healing, though healing can be a byproduct of having a really fucking good time.
The Academy's work has always been rooted in experience rather than simply gathering more information about ourselves. We already have so much information and so little experience.
You don't really know who you are until you try something. Until you're in the room, in your body, discovering what happens when you do something you've never done before.
This is about expanding the space women live in from the inside. About power, play, pleasure, experimentation, and finding out what's possible when the usual rules no longer apply.
Q: Will I have a conversation with someone before attending?
Yes. Every prospective participant has an individual conversation with the Grandmistress.
The Academy takes these conversations seriously because every woman brings her own history, desires, circumstances, and energy into the room.
The goal is to understand where each person is coming from and create not just a beautiful group, but an adventure that matches the women who will be part of it.
Q: Are scholarships, payment alternatives, or work exchanges available?
No. The retreat costs a great deal to create. Every room, every meal, and every part of the experience comes with real expenses, and those costs need to be covered.
There is no announced scholarship or work-exchange program. If you have a genuinely creative proposal, you're welcome to write to the Academy, just remember that somebody has to pay for it.
Q: Can I bring my child to the retreat?
No. The retreat is a child-free experience.
Q: Can I attend only part of the retreat?
The retreat is designed to be experienced in its entirety.
This isn't the kind of experience where women simply drop in for a few exercises and leave. It's about entering a world together, being fully present, and allowing the work to unfold over time.
When one woman asked about attending for only part of the week while navigating serious challenges at home, Kasia encouraged her not to divide herself between the retreat and the responsibilities that needed her attention.
If you're facing circumstances that make full attendance difficult, reach out to the Academy to discuss what's happening.
Q: What if I'm dealing with difficult personal circumstances and am unsure whether the retreat is right for me?
Not every woman needs a retreat right now. Sometimes what she needs is an army.
When one participant shared the difficult situation she was facing, Kasia encouraged her to focus on getting the support she needed rather than trying to squeeze a retreat into an already overwhelming situation.
The Academy's work is about helping women access their power, and sometimes that means recognizing what kind of support is actually needed in the moment.
If you're unsure whether this is the right experience for you, write to the Academy. Share what's happening, what you need, and what you're hoping for. The team can help explore the next step.
Q: What makes exploring persona work at the retreat different from doing it on my own or online?
Persona work can happen on Zoom, in person, and anywhere there's enough permission to play. But there's something extraordinary about doing this work in a room full of women who are all willing to explore who they might become.
We're social beings. We learn socially. And so much of what we think of as our personality is actually shaped by the circumstances around us, the roles we've learned to play, and what we've been given permission to express.
When you're surrounded by women who have full permission to experiment, you don't just get to try on a different persona. You get to experience how it feels to be that woman, how other people respond to her, and what might actually be true about you that you never knew before.
The Spain retreat takes that possibility even further, creating an entire alternate world where women can live, play, and experiment together. It's one thing to imagine who you might become. It's another thing entirely to experience her.
Q: Will there be opportunities to connect with women who attended previous retreats?
Nothing formal has been announced yet, but the possibility is there.
Q: What are the arrival and departure times, and will transportation be provided?
There will be a group transfer departing from Sitges at 3 p.m. on November 20. The ride to the retreat property takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Checkout will be at 10 a.m. on November 25.
Once you're registered, the Academy team will be in touch to coordinate transportation, go over travel details, and make sure you have everything you need for a smooth arrival and departure.
Q: Where will I be staying?
Gran Villa Rosa is a beautiful private estate near Sitges, Spain, just outside of Barcelona, where we'll be living, eating, and making magic together throughout the retreat.
Both private and shared accommodations are available, depending on the room category you select. Our team will help you get settled when you arrive.
Q: Will meals be provided?
Yes! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included throughout the retreat. Our intention is for you to feel fully nourished and cared for so you can immerse yourself in the experience.
If you have dietary restrictions, allergies, or special food needs, please let our team know so we can discuss what's possible.
Q: Will activities take place indoors and outdoors?
Yes, we'll be exploring the different spaces at Gran Villa Rosa, both indoors and outdoors. Spain can be cool in November, so you'll want to bring comfortable layers.
The estate offers a beautiful setting for the immersive world Kasia is creating, with different spaces opening up different possibilities for play and experimentation.
Q: What if I have mobility considerations or other accessibility needs?
We want every woman to feel comfortable and supported throughout the experience.
If you have mobility considerations, difficulty sitting on the floor, or other accessibility needs, please write to us at admissions@kasiaurbaniak.com so we can discuss your specific needs and what's possible.
Q: Who should I contact if I have questions about attending?
We'd love to hear from you! If you have questions about accommodations, transportation, dietary needs, or anything else that might help you decide whether this retreat is right for you, please reach out to admissions@kasiaurbaniak.com.
Every woman's circumstances matter, and we're happy to talk through yours.
